Our Duty As A Believers

He eats of that of which you eat, and drinks of that of which you drink. ‘And if you obey a man like yourselves, you will then be surely losers. ‘Does he promise you that when you are dead and have become dust and bones, you  will be brought forth again? ‘Far, far from truth is that which you are promised. ‘There is no life other than our present life; we were lifeless and now we live,  but we shall not be raised up again. ‘He is only a man who has forged a lie against Allah; and we are not going to believe him.’ He said, ‘My Lord, help me, for they have treated me as a liar.’ Lord said, ‘In a little while they will surely become repentant.’ Then punishment overtook them rightfully, and We made them as rubbish.

And We have created above you seven heavens lying one above the other, and We are never  neglectful of the creation.  And We sent down water from the sky according to measure, and We  caused it to stay in the earth — and surely it is We Who determine its taking away — And We produced

When he said to his father, ‘O my father, why dost thou worship that which hears not, nor sees, nor can avail thee aught? ‘O my father, there has indeed come to me knowledge such as has not come to thee; so follow me, I will guide thee to an even path. ‘O my father, serve not Satan; surely, Satan is a rebel against the Gracious God. ‘O my father, indeed, I fear lest a punishment from the Gracious God seize you, and you become a comrade of Satan.’ He replied, ‘Do not you turn away from my gods, O Abraham? If thou cease not, I shall surely cut off all relations with you. Now leave me alone for a long while.’ Abraham said,  ‘Peace be on you.’ I will ask forgiveness of my Lord for you. And the pains of childbirth drove her with the trunk of a palm-tree. She said, ‘O! would that I had died before this and had become a thing quite forgotten!’ Then he called her from beneath her, saying, “Grieve not. Thy

And remember the time when We said to the angels, ‘Submit to Adam,’ and they all submitted, except Iblis. He was one of the Jinn; and he disobeyed the command of his Lord. Will you then take him and his descendant for friends instead of Me while they are your enemies? Evil is the exchange for the wrongdoers.- The Holy Quran:18:50-51

But enduring good works are better in the sight of thy Lord in respect of immediate reward, and better in respect of future hope. And bethink of the day when We shall remove the mountains, and thou wilt see the nations of the earth march forth against one another and We shall gather them together and shall not leave any one of them behind. And they will be presented to Your  Lord, standing in rows: ‘Now have you come to Us as We created you at first. Those whom the angels cause to die while they are wronging their souls. Then will they offer submission, saying, ‘We used not to do any evil.’ Never, surely, Allah knows well what you used to do. So enter the gates of Hell, to reside therein. Evil indeed is the permanent residence of the proud. And when it is said to the righteous, ‘What think you of that which your Lord has revealed?’ they say, ‘The best.’ For those who do good there is good in this world. And the home of the Hereafter is even better.
